RheinEnergie Kinderlauf Köln

The RheinEnergie Children's Run Cologne will take place on October 3, 2026, at Roncalliplatz near Cologne Cathedral. The event offers several child-friendly races with distances ranging from 500 meters to 2,000 meters, most of which are closed off and secured by course marshals. Before the race, there will be a children's church service at Cologne Cathedral, after which the children will start their races together. Participation is open to children born between 2015 and 2021, and no timing will be conducted — fun and participation are the main focus.

Race bibs will be distributed on October 3, 2026, in a tent at Roncalliplatz. Registration is also possible on the day of the event from 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM on site. Children will start in multiple waves depending on the number of participants, divided by birth year and/or gender. There is no timing, and children should be able to run the course without parental accompaniment. Multiple races with different distances, no timing, participation from the 2015 birth year, limit of 1000 children, online registration available, race bib distribution on the event day.
