Karneval-Marathon

The Carnival Marathon in Köln-Pesch combines a passion for marathon running with enthusiasm for the Cologne Carnival. The event takes place on 11.11.2026 and is a unique event marking the start of the “fifth season.” The course is measured by the German Athletics Association (DLV) and follows a flat, paved loop around Pescher See, which runners complete multiple times. The field is limited to 50 participants, and costumes are expressly encouraged to add to the fun.

Race numbers can be collected from 9:30 to 10:30 at the playground at Pescher See. Changing rooms, showers and toilets are available at the nearby clubhouse of FC Pesch 1956 e.V. Timing is manual, with lap numbers clipped off the race bib. After the race, there will be Kölsch and a unique Carnival finisher’s medal. The event is non-commercial, and proceeds will be donated to Cologne Carnival associations. The course is a paved 2.7 km loop; there is no lighting or medical station. The number of race numbers is limited to 50. No refunds are given for non-participation or force majeure. Participation is open to runners aged U20 and older.
