The Bottwartal Marathon is a running event set in one of the most beautiful landscapes of southern Germany, featuring gentle vineyard slopes, idyllic old towns, and an exciting atmosphere along the course. The route offers a loop through the southern and northern Bottwartal with varied sections passing through historic towns such as Steinheim, Murr, Gronau, Beilstein, Oberstenfeld, and Großbottwar. The flat finish at Riedstadion Steinheim invites a thrilling final sprint. Whether beginner or ambitious runner, everyone can find their personal running experience here.

Additional information
Monthly free training runs in various pace groups for preparation, summer break runs during the summer holidays, year-end run with 10 km and mulled wine. The start and finish area is the Steppi roundabout in Steinheim an der Murr. Registration is via the partner Datasport. Late registrations are possible at short notice. The training run serves marathon preparation and takes place on August 30, 2026. There is also a previous training event on June 28, 2026, to test the course.
