Trainingslauf Bottwartal-Marathon

The Bottwartal Marathon is a running event in one of the most beautiful landscapes in southern Germany, taking you past gentle vineyard slopes, picturesque old towns and enthusiastic crowds along the course. The route is a loop through the southern and northern Bottwartal, with varied sections through historic towns such as Steinheim, Murr, Gronau, Beilstein, Oberstenfeld and Großbottwar. The flat finish at Riedstadion Steinheim invites you to make a thrilling final push. Whether you’re a beginner or an ambitious runner, you’ll find your own personal running experience here.

Free monthly training runs in different pace groups to help you prepare, Summer Holiday Runs during the summer break, and a Year-End Run featuring 10 km and mulled wine. The start and finish area is the Steppi roundabout in Steinheim a.d. Murr. Registration is through the partner Datasport. Late entries are possible at short notice. The training run is intended to help prepare for the marathon and takes place on 30 August 2026. There is also an earlier training event on 28 June 2026 to test the course.
