Race description
The Backnang New Year's Eve Run is a traditional popular race for everyone and the largest sporting event in Backnang. It offers various distances from 0.5 km to 10 km, including a Bambini race, mini-marathon, team relay, 5 km, and 10 km main race. The course runs through the city with cobblestones and creates an atmospheric setting with thousands of spectators. The race is a highlight at the end of the year, appealing to both recreational and elite athletes and is a celebration for the whole family.

Additional information
Registrations on the day of the event are possible online until 12:00 PM if spots are available. Bib number pickup is at the competition office or on December 29 and 30 at INTERSPORT GRABERT. No late registrations are allowed for the team relay. Age categories are determined according to DLV event regulations. The event begins with the Bambini race at 2:00 PM, followed by the mini-marathon, team relay, and 5 km run, ending with the 10 km main race at 3:10 PM. The courses run through the city center, including cobblestones and short inclines, with various race categories and family activities.
