Rursee-Marathon

The Rursee Marathon takes place on November 8, 2026, in Simmerath-Einruhr and offers runners a unique natural experience in the Eifel National Park. The marathon route leads on a profiling loop along the Obersee, Urftsee, and Rursee lakes with magnificent autumn impressions and diverse landscapes. In addition to the marathon, there are other competitions such as the ultra run over 52 km, a 16.5 km run, a 5 km run, and children's races. The event is known for its challenging course and picturesque surroundings, making every run a special experience.

The marathon starts on November 8, 2026, at 10:30 AM. The course consists of 70% field and forest paths and 30% asphalt. There are 7 refreshment points plus finish area refreshments. Other runs during the weekend include a 5 km run on November 7, 2026, at 3:30 PM, a 52 km ultra run on November 8, 2026, at 9:00 AM (cut-off at 4:30 PM), children's races, and Nordic walking. The event offers perfect orientation on race day and is part of the Eifel Cup.
