Göttinger Frühjahrs-Volkslauf

The 40th Göttingen Sparkassen Volkslauf takes place on 31 May 2026 at Göttingen’s Jahnstadion and offers a varied program of races for runners of all abilities. Combining tradition and community, the event welcomes both experienced runners and recreational joggers to an active day of fun and exercise. The courses are almost flat, paved and partly asphalted, and follow a circuit through the region. Alongside the main races, there are also children’s and Bambini races, as well as walking routes suitable for all age groups.

No registration is required for the Bambini race; race numbers can be collected free of charge on the day of the event. Late entries on the day are not possible. The entry fee includes an organizational contribution and a mineral drink. There are individual rankings in the respective races, with no age-group awards. The event is part of the SüdNiedersachsen-Cup and the Gö-Challenge. Race distances: 2 km, 5.4 km, 10.8 km; event at Göttingen’s Jahnstadion; the half marathon is not being held in 2026; participation is open to runners with or without club membership; entry fee includes a mineral drink; medical support is available; held in all weather conditions.
