ebm-papst Marathon

The ebm-papst Marathon in Niedernhall is a traditional running event, taking place for the 29th time on September 12 and 13, 2026. The event offers various disciplines, including the marathon, half marathon, duo marathon, relay marathon, 10 km run, handbike and inline skating events, as well as children’s races and Nordic walking. The course runs through the scenic region and offers a varied experience for runners of all abilities. Alongside the sporting competition, participants can enjoy a varied program featuring a show, childcare and a pasta party. Every finisher receives a medal and can download a free finish-line photo.

On-site late registration is available on September 12 and 13, 2026, up to one hour before the start. A pasta party is available for a contribution of €8 (payable in cash). A sustainable running shirt can be ordered for an additional €12 (€8 for children). Every finisher receives a medal and a free downloadable finish-line photo. Free bag storage, showers and massage are available on site. Childcare for children aged 3 and up is available from 07:30 to 14:30. Runners’ church service on Sunday at 08:00. A relay partner board on Facebook helps runners find partners for the duo marathon.
