Burscheider Stadtlauf

The Burscheid City Run takes place on October 11, 2026, in the town center of Burscheid and offers an ideal setting for runners of all ability levels. There are several distances: the 10-kilometer main race, a 3-kilometer run, and an 800-meter run that serves as a qualification for the Sports Badge. The event has a friendly, family atmosphere and welcomes both competitive runners and recreational athletes. All finishers receive the traditional Kretzer City Run bread, and the top finishers are awarded special trophies.

Late entries are possible at the registration office on race day for an additional fee of €5.00, but late registrants will not receive Kretzer City Run bread. Race packets will be distributed from 10:30 a.m. at the Protestant church. Changing rooms and showers are available at the “Auf dem Schulberg” sports hall. Free drinks are available along the course and at the finish. Age-group rankings follow DLO regulations. First aid is provided by the German Red Cross, Burscheid branch. Bib numbers must be worn on the chest. The event also includes children’s races, race-packet distribution from 10:30 a.m., online results, age-group rankings, medals, and trophies. October weather is usually mild, making participation comfortable.
