The Burscheid City Run takes place on October 11, 2026, in the city center of Burscheid and offers an ideal environment for runners of all performance levels. There are various distances: the 10-kilometer main race, a 3-kilometer run, and an 800-meter race that serves as a qualification for the sports badge. The event is characterized by a family-friendly atmosphere and is aimed at both ambitious runners and recreational athletes. All finishers receive the traditional Kretzer City Run bread, and the top places are awarded special trophies.

Late registrations are possible on the day of the event at the registration office with a late registration fee of €5.00, but late registrants do not receive the Kretzer City Run bread. Race packets will be distributed from 10:30 AM at the Protestant church. Changing rooms and showers are available at the sports hall "Auf dem Schulberg". Free drinks are available along the course and at the finish line. There is an age group classification according to DLO. First aid is provided by the German Red Cross, Burscheid branch. Bib numbers must be worn on the chest. The event also includes children's races, race packets from 10:30 AM, online results, age group classification, as well as medals and trophies. The weather in October is usually mild, making participation comfortable.
