Race description
The Benkhausen Castle Run is a sporting race event that takes place in 2026 for the second time and is held against the unique backdrop of Benkhausen Castle. The event offers varied running routes on paved side streets and footpaths in the beautiful Benkhausen. Start and finish are located at the castle square in Benkhausen, where race bibs are also distributed. The event is open to running enthusiasts of all ages and includes various distances, including children’s and school runs.

Late registrations are possible on race day from 12:30 PM until 60 minutes before the start, provided the participant limit has not been reached, with a late registration fee of 2 euros. The number of participants is limited to 200 runners per main race (6.5 km, 10.8 km, 20.8 km), with a maximum of 600 registrations overall. Race packets will be available from June 30, 2026, at Drogerie Emmerling and on race day at the castle square. Timing is done with disposable chip technology. Shower and changing facilities are available at Benkhausen Elementary School. Children’s and school runs receive medals for all participants without timing or awards ceremony. The well-known host Heino Krüger will accompany the races. Registration opens on February 1, 2026; late registrations are possible on-site; participant limit for the main races is 200 per distance, with a maximum of 600 registrations; timing with chip; event held as part of a sports festival.
