6. Wehrheimer Backyard Ultra

The Wehrheim Backyard Ultra (WEHBU) takes place for the sixth time on May 30, 2026. This private event, held among family and friends, is open only by personal invitation, as the start and finish areas are on private property. The course follows gravel and paved paths, with some challenging elevation gain and fantastic views of Wehrheim and the Taunus Mountains, including the Feldberg. One particular challenge is the “Meadow of Horrors,” which can get muddy depending on the weather. The winner receives an original Bembel as a perpetual trophy, fitting for Wehrheim’s nickname, “Apple Village.”
