6. Wehrheimer Backyard Ultra

The Wehrheimer Backyard Ultra (WEHBU) takes place on May 30, 2026, for the sixth time. This private event in a family setting is only accessible by personal invitation, as start and finish areas are located on private property. The course runs over gravel and asphalt paths with some challenging elevation changes and offers a fantastic view of Wehrheim and the Taunus mountains, including the Feldberg. A special challenge is the "Meadow of Horror," which can be muddy depending on the weather. The winner receives an original Bembel as a trophy, fitting with Wehrheim's secondary name as the "Apple Village."

Participation only possible by personal invitation from the organizer; start and finish areas on private property; the event is a family-oriented, private race with high demand and a long waiting list; the winner receives an original Bembel as a trophy.
