Lorsbacher Winterlauf- und Walkingserie

The Lorsbach Winter Running and Walking Series is a long-standing event in the Langenhain Forest near Hofheim-Lorsbach, held during the winter season from November to February. The series consists of five dates, when runners and walkers can complete the challenging, varied 10 km or 20 km course. The 10 km route is permanently signposted, while the 20 km loop is marked seasonally. The event is open to everyone; no registration is required and there is no entry fee. Participants start individually and run together without timing, emphasizing the community aspect.

Starts are individual from 8:00 at the sports hall at Schinderwald; there is no timing. Changing rooms are open on running days from 8:00 to 13:00. A tea station with warm tea is available along the route (please bring your own collapsible cup). Soup, wheat beer, coffee and cake are served on the final date. Participation is free, and voluntary donations are welcome. The event is covered by sports insurance through LSB Hessen. GPS tracks for the routes are available via Komoot. Route distances: 10 km and 20 km; challenging, varied courses; no timing; individual starts; GPS tracks via Komoot; tea stations with tea, coffee, biscuits, soup and wheat beer; parking at the sports ground or Park & Ride; access by train is possible.
