26. Generali Köln Marathon

The Generali Cologne Marathon is a unique running experience that combines top-level and recreational sports with carnival, folk festival, and running festival. The course takes runners through lively Cologne neighborhoods such as Rodenkirchen, Lindenthal, Ehrenfeld, and Nippes, ending spectacularly at Cologne Cathedral. With up to 15,000 participants, the marathon offers an exhilarating atmosphere supported by thousands of spectators along the route. The marathon starts in Deutz at Ottoplatz and includes multiple transition zones for relay and school marathons. There are 11 refreshment stations during the marathon and 6 during the half marathon. The event is limited to 15,000 participants for the marathon. The course passes well-known Cologne sights and districts, with the finish line at Cologne Cathedral.
