21. Citylauf

The GVG Citylauf Bedburg is a traditional running event taking place on 13 September 2026 in Bedburg’s traffic-free town centre. The event offers various distances for all age groups, from the Bambini run and children’s races to the 10 km main race. The races start and finish in the marketplace in front of the town hall, with routes through the town centre. The Citylauf is ideal for runners of all abilities and promotes physical activity in the community.

Late entries are possible on the event day until one hour before the respective start, with a late-entry fee of €3.00 (the Bambini run is free to enter and has no late-entry fee). Headphones, MP3 players, jogging strollers and dogs are not permitted for safety reasons. The routes are measured by the German Athletics Association (DLV). A 12-week running course is available to help beginners prepare. The event takes place on 12 September 2026 and includes children’s races as well as the main races. Registration is online, and the event is very popular with the local community.
