Birkhahnlauf

The Birkhahnlauf in Schneeren is a traditional race that has been held annually for over 50 years on the last Sunday of October. The event offers courses for all age groups, from short children's runs of 500 meters to challenging 5 km and 10 km runs for adults. The race routes lead through the pine forest on paved forest paths with slightly sandy ground and no significant elevation profile, making the race a special experience in nature. A new addition is a 2.3 km course starting from the U12 age group. The family-friendly atmosphere and prompt award ceremonies with certificates and medals complete the event.

Start times: children 500m at 10:30 AM, 1000m at 10:45 AM, 2.3 km at 11:10 AM, 5.1 km and 10.2 km at 11:40 AM. Award ceremonies take place shortly after each race. Parking is available nearby and signposted. Registration is preferred online from August 1, 2026, with the start fee payable on site up to 20 minutes before the race begins. Race takes place in the forest, with courses from 0.5 km to 10 km, children's runs, online registration from August 1, 2026, race date October 25, 2026.
