14. Burgdorfer Spargel-Lauf

The Burgdorfer Asparagus Run is an annual running event held as part of the Oktobermarkt city festival in Burgdorf. The 14th edition of this popular event takes place on October 4, 2026, and welcomes recreational runners of all ages. The routes follow the Aue and pass through the town centre, with the start and finish at the Auebrücke, Poststraße / Braunschweiger Straße. Events include 2.5 km, 5 km and 10 km runs, Nordic walking, and a children’s race.

Timing is electronic, using a chip attached to the race bib. Online certificates are available for all participants. Late registration is possible on the event day from 12:30 to 13:30 for an additional fee of €4. Parking is available, among other places, at the train station, Schützenplatz and Rathaus II. The awards ceremony takes place at the Auebrücke after the main races. The event takes place in all weather. The route runs through Burgdorf along the Aue, Schlosspark and Stadtpark; registration is open until October 2, 2024; the race takes place in all weather; parking is available nearby.
