Westfalenparklauf

The Dortmunder Volksbank Westfalenparklauf on 8 November 2026 is a sporting competition in Westfalenpark Dortmund, welcoming runners of all ages. The event offers various distances, including Bambini, schoolchildren’s and main races over 2.5 km, 5 km and 10 km, with electronic timing. The course is measured by the DLV and runs through the beautiful Westfalenpark. All finishers receive medals, and the fastest runners are honored. Race number distribution is available on race day until 45 minutes before each start. There are no changing facilities, but baggage storage is available without liability. Headphones, dogs and strollers are not allowed. The Bambini race is untimed; participants receive a certificate only. Awards go to places 1–3 in the men’s and women’s categories for the 5 km and 10 km races, as well as to age-group winners. Medical support is available on the course and in the start/finish area. A lead bicycle accompanies the 2.5 km, 5 km and 10 km races. This is a local event with a traditional character, including medals for finishers, online registration and medical support on the course. Certain participation rules apply, including a ban on dogs and umbrellas.
