Wemdinger Stadtlauf

The Wemding City Run invites runners of all ages to explore Wemding’s historic old town and the scenic countryside on the edge of the Ries. A special highlight is the panoramic run to the Maria Brünnlein pilgrimage church, combining sporting challenges with impressive views. The event offers a family-friendly atmosphere and welcomes both experienced runners and beginners. Timing is handled electronically using transponders in the race bibs, and an awards ceremony takes place on the stage at the market square.

Race-pack collection and late entries are available on the event day until 30 minutes before each start at the race office in the Geopark Information Centre at the market square. The children’s run has no timing or results list; all children’s and school races receive medals. Timing for the other races is handled using transponders in the race bibs. Parking is available at Johannisweiher, with access via Wolferstädter Straße.
