Trainingslauf Bottwartal-Marathon

The Bottwartal Marathon is a running event set in one of southern Germany's most beautiful landscapes, featuring gentle vineyard slopes, idyllic old towns, and an exhilarating atmosphere along the course. The route offers a loop through the southern and northern Bottwartal with varied sections passing through Steinheim, Murr, Gronau, Beilstein, Oberstenfeld, and Großbottwar. The flat finish at the Steppi roundabout in Steinheim invites a strong final sprint. The marathon is open to adult runners aged 18 and over and is part of a diverse running program in Bottwartal.

Monthly free training runs in various pace groups on the last Sunday of each month in Steinheim. Weekly summer holiday runs during the summer break every Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM. Year-end run at the end of the year with a 10 km race and afterwards punch & mulled wine. Registration for all runs is via the partner Datasport. Late registrations and re-registrations are possible until shortly before the race. The event takes place at the Riedstadion in Steinheim an der Murr and is a popular opportunity for runners to prepare for the marathon. It is recommended to check the details with the organizer before registering.
