Trainingslauf Bottwartal-Marathon

The Bottwartal Marathon is a running event in one of the most beautiful landscapes in southern Germany, taking runners through gentle vineyard slopes, idyllic old towns and an inspiring atmosphere along the course. The route is a circuit through the southern and northern Bottwartal, with varied sections on paved farm roads and through historic town centres. The flat finish at the Steppi roundabout in Steinheim invites runners to make a strong final push. Whether you are a beginner or an ambitious runner, you’ll find your own personal running experience here.

Free monthly training runs in different pace groups take place in Steinheim on the last Sunday of each month. Summer-break runs are held every Tuesday evening during the summer holidays and include a 10 km long run. The Year-End Run is a 10 km run with punch and mulled wine at the end of the year. Registration is through Datasport. Late entries and changes of registration are possible until shortly before the race. In addition to the marathon, the event includes a half marathon, 10 km, 5 km and running events for all age groups; it takes place in June 2026 to give runners the opportunity to prepare optimally.
