Trainingslauf Bottwartal-Marathon

The Bottwartal Marathon is a running event in one of the most beautiful landscapes in southern Germany, taking runners past gentle vineyard slopes, picturesque old towns and enthusiastic crowds along the course. The route is a loop through the southern and northern Bottwartal, with varied sections through historic towns such as Steinheim, Murr, Gronau, Beilstein, Oberstenfeld and Großbottwar. The flat finish at the Steppi roundabout in Steinheim invites runners to make a strong final push. The marathon is for adults aged 18 and over and is part of a varied running program in the Bottwartal.

Free monthly training runs in different pace groups on the last Sunday of the month in Steinheim. Weekly Sommerloch runs during the summer holidays every Tuesday evening at 19:00. Year-End Run with 10 km, followed by punch and mulled wine at the end of the year. Registration for all runs is through the partner Datasport. Late entries and changes are possible until shortly before the run. The event takes place at the Riedstadion in Steinheim an der Murr. It is an excellent opportunity to prepare for the marathon in July and improve running technique in a motivating community.
