The Velen Animal Garden Run is a family-friendly fun run taking place on June 20, 2026, for the 18th time. With a total of 11 races, it offers routes for all age groups and fitness levels, from mini-marathon to school runs, as well as 5 km, 10 km, and half marathon distances, including Nordic walking. A special highlight is the relay race for families, friends, and colleagues, where four people run consecutively 1400 meters each. The event is held at the comprehensive school Velen and features a wide-ranging program with catering, music, and showers. Proceeds are donated to charitable organizations.
