Sparkassen-LüneCross

The Sparkassen-LüneCross is an exciting and challenging cross-country running event set amid nature and the city of Lüneburg. The varied course follows sandy, root-covered trails, meadows, forest paths and gravel tracks, testing endurance, strength and running technique. Main races are offered over 4 km and 8 km, along with shorter distances for children and young people and 8 km relay races. Alongside the sporting challenge, the focus is on the enjoyment of running and community, with a school competition and a convivial awards ceremony afterwards.

There is a school competition with prizes for schools with the highest participation rate. Food and refreshments are available, followed by an awards ceremony and a convivial get-together. Relay teams of 3 to 6 runners can be formed from family, colleagues, teammates or friends. The route passes through natural surroundings, including forest paths, meadows, sand and gravel. Registration is required; family and group participation is possible.
