Schwerter Ruhrstadtlauf

The Schwerter Ruhrstadtlauf takes place on June 12, 2026, at the GWG-Schwerte-Arena and welcomes numerous runners in its tried-and-tested format. The afternoon is dedicated to younger participants, with shorter distances, while the longer races are the main attraction in the evening. Particularly popular are the relay races for Bambini and youth, as well as the Nordic walking event along the scenic Ruhr Valley Cycle Route. The 10 km course is measured according to DLV criteria and follows a loop over paved and surfaced paths through a wooded area, finishing in the stadium.

Race pack collection and late registration on June 11, 2026, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the race office. Late registration is possible up to 60 minutes before the start of the respective category for a fee of €3 (free for Bambini). The entry fee includes timing via a disposable transponder, a personalized certificate, shower facilities at the VfB Westhofen clubhouse, baggage storage without liability, water stations for the 5 km and 10 km races, and drinks in the finish area. The event takes place in all weather conditions. The event offers a variety of running opportunities for all age groups and supports community sport.
