Schwerter Ruhrstadtlauf

The Schwerter Ruhrstadtlauf takes place on June 12, 2026, at the GWG-Schwerte-Arena and welcomes numerous runners in a proven format. The afternoon is dedicated to younger participants with shorter distances, while the longer races in the evening are the main attraction. Especially popular are the relay races for children and youth, as well as the Nordic walking competition along the scenic Ruhrtalradweg. The course for the 10 km run is measured according to DLV standards and is a loop course over asphalted and paved paths through a forest area, with the finish line in the stadium.

Race bib distribution and late registration on June 11, 2026, from 6 to 7 PM at the competition office. Late registrations are possible up to 60 minutes before the start of each category for a fee of €3 (children's races are free). Included in the registration fee are timing via disposable transponder, personalized certificate, shower facilities at the VfB Westhofen club house, baggage storage without liability, water service at the 5 km and 10 km runs, and drinks at the finish area. The event takes place in all weather conditions. The event offers a variety of running options for all age groups and supports community sports. Registration is via the official website, and the event takes place on a Friday in June.
