SCC Cross Country

The SCC Cross Country is a forest race in Berlin at the Julius-Hirsch-Sportanlage in Westend. Two clearly defined cross-country routes are offered: 4 km for U16 through adults and 9 km for U18 through adults; both races start in the morning. The event is deliberately straightforward and is aimed at club runners, young athletes and adults who want to run short off-road loops, setting it apart from the city’s major road races. The course follows paved and unpaved forest paths, where rhythm, sure footing and a fast finish matter more than scenic views. Awards go to the top three in each age and gender category, and there is a prize for the fastest final lap for men and women.

Entry is free for SCC members. Late registration is available shortly before the start for an additional fee. An archive of results is available to document the race. The event takes place at the Julius-Hirsch-Sportanlage on Harbigstraße in Westend, Berlin-Charlottenburg. Typical November weather is around 7 °C, with rainy days.
