Rotenburger Strandfestlauf - Rotenburg rennt

The Rotenburg Strandfest Run takes place every year on the first Friday in July as part of the traditional Heimat- und Strandfest in Rotenburg an der Fulda. The flat, fast course runs through the town centre and offers various events for young runners, main-race participants, elite runners and teams, as well as walking. New features include precisely measured school and elite races, plus the Beer Mile, where having fun is the main focus. The event combines sporting ambition with a friendly, social atmosphere and is a highlight of the regional running calendar.

No on-site registration is possible; advance registration is available only through specialist portals. The 5 km and 10 km courses are no longer offered; instead, the main race covers a 1.5 km course five times. The Beer Mile has no timing and includes four alcohol-free beer breaks at 400 m intervals. Elite race entry requirements: men, 03:10 min/km; women, 03:30 min/km. Events for young runners, main-race participants, elite runners and teams, plus walking.
