Rieslinglauf und 17. Rheingauer Halbmarathon

The Rieslinglauf and Rheingau Half Marathon are traditional running events that have been held for over 40 years in the picturesque vineyards of Oestrich-Winkel. The routes pass through gentle hills and offer idyllic views of the Rhine Valley. The event includes several distances: 10 km, half marathon, 5 km fun run and a 2,000 m schoolchildren’s run. It is known for its friendly atmosphere and support from the local community.

The maximum number of participants is limited to 555. Late entries are accepted in person at the event venue on the day of the event until 8:00 a.m. and incur a €5 late-entry fee, payable in cash. Participants who register in time receive a race T-shirt; for later registrations, T-shirts are available while supplies last. Timing is recorded using a transponder attached to the race number. The finish line closes at 11:30 a.m. on race day. Prizes are awarded by age group, along with special prizes for the largest group/club and new personal bests. The route passes through vineyards on mostly paved paths with gentle climbs. Online registration is open until 24.07.2026. The race starts at the sports ground on Vollradsser Allee. The event is limited to 555 participants. Children and young people may take part.
