Race description

The Monschau Marathon takes place from August 7 to 9, 2026, in the picturesque Eifel landscape and offers runners a challenging course with varied terrain. The event includes not only the classic marathon but also ultra distances (K56 and K70), a Genuss-Marathon, and relay races. The route passes through historic old town areas, green meadows, forest landscapes, and offers impressive views, combined with a family-friendly and warm atmosphere. The Monschau Marathon is an international running event with great diversity and a strong sense of community among participants, helpers, and sponsors.

Additional information

12 refreshment points on the marathon route. Relay exchange points in Widdau and Kalterherberg. Medical services, doctors, massage team, and sports physiotherapists on site. Camping available at the sports field Am Windrad (10 euros per day/person, children free). Showers and changing rooms in the Grundschule Konzen sports hall. Late registrations are possible until August 9, 2026, online and on-site with a late registration fee. Pacemakers for various target times. Finisher medal included, functional shirt available for an additional charge with online registration until July 31. Guided bike tour on Saturday without start fee. Multiple race distances including marathon, ultra (K56, K70), relay, and walking; event in the Eifel with refreshment points, start and exchange zones; focus on community and nature experience.
