Lauf Rund um den Grengel

The Rund um den Grengel Run is a traditional fun run in Engelskirchen, organized annually by VfL Engelskirchen e.V., Athletics & Triathlon Department. The event offers various distances, including a Bambini run, junior races, a 5 km fun run and a 10 km main race, some of which are held as municipal championships. The course is flat and runs across a sports field, roads and forest paths. It has been measured by the German Athletics Association (DLV). The friendly atmosphere and the involvement of children and young people make this a special event for all age groups.

Late entries are possible online up to 60 minutes before the respective start, subject to a €5 late-entry fee. Changing rooms and showers are available on site. Medical services are provided by the Malteser organization in Engelskirchen. All Bambini runners receive a medal. Certificates can be viewed and printed online. Awards ceremonies are held for the three fastest overall finishers in the junior race, 5 km and 10 km. The courses are measured by the DLV; start times begin at 14:00; registration is online only; all age groups may participate; children receive medals and certificates are digital; medical services are available on site.
