Race description
The Kreuzhorst Ultra (KRHU) is a family-friendly backyard ultra race in Magdeburg-Kreuzhorst, taking place for the third time on September 26, 2026. The 6.7 km course is restarted every full hour, and participants run as many rounds as they can or wish to. The race is a private invitation-only event focused on community, passion, and enjoyment of running. The route mainly runs over forest and field paths with no significant inclines, and there are classifications for distances of 53 km, 100 km, and 160 km.

The race is a private invitation-only event with no public registration and a maximum of 70 participants. Catering with water, isotonic drinks, cola, fruit, and cake is provided at the start and finish areas, and participants are asked to contribute their own items. There is no mandatory equipment, but headlamps and phones are recommended. Parking, toilets, and showers are available at the SV Pechau sports field. The race includes several classifications, including 50 km, 100 km, and 100 miles, with the fastest person in each classification winning. It is not a public event but a private invitation with modified backyard ultra rules.
