Kapuziner-Kessellauf

The Kapuziner Kessellauf is a traditional race through the Kessel and the Kulmbacher Forest, starting at the Weiher Sports Center. Since its revival in 2002, it has been a fixture on the Upper Franconian running calendar. Alongside the sporting competition, participants can enjoy a varied supporting programme featuring music, coffee and cake, a finish-line buffet and a large raffle. The Bambini and schoolchildren’s races, with medals for all participants, are especially family-friendly. The event also encourages community spirit through team rankings and awards for the teams with the most participants.

Late entries are possible until 19.09.2026 at 9 p.m. for a fee of 5 euros. Team rankings apply only to the main race and are separate for men and women. The team with the most participants will receive a non-cash prize. Nordic walking is timed, with no finish ranking. Supporting programme featuring music, coffee and cake, a finish-line buffet, childcare, finisher medals for the schoolchildren’s and Bambini races, and a large raffle.
