Kapuziner-Kessellauf

The Kapuziner Kessellauf is a traditional race through the Kessel and the Kulmbach Forest, starting at the Weiher Sports Center. Since its revival in 2002, it has been a fixed part of the Upper Franconian race calendar. In addition to the athletic competition, participants can enjoy a varied supporting program with music, coffee and cake, a finish buffet, and a large raffle. The event is especially family-friendly with the children's and school runs, which award medals to all participants. The event also promotes community spirit through team rankings and awards for the most participating teams.

Late registrations are possible until 19.09.2026 at 9:00 PM for a fee of 5 euros. Team rankings are only for the main race, separated by men and women. The most participating team will be awarded a material prize. For Nordic walking, timing is provided without finish placement. The supporting program includes music, coffee & cake, a finish buffet, children's care, finisher medals for the school and children runs, and a large raffle. The course runs through forest and woodland paths.
