Kapellenlauf Vorra

The Kapellenlauf Vorra is a traditional race organized annually by DJK SC Vorra. It includes several distances, such as a half marathon, a quarter marathon over 10.55 km, as well as a hobby run and Nordic walking, which have been added since 2025. The course runs through the rural surroundings around Abtsdorf and offers both competitive sport and leisure running. The race is also the venue for the Upper Franconian Championships in the half marathon and attracts numerous participants from the region.

The patron starts the races promptly at 9 a.m. There is a large number of participants in the Nordic walking category, emphasizing enjoyment and community. The route is available for download as a GPX file. Changing facilities are available at Gastwirtschaft Beck. Event includes elevation meters, team rankings, start and finish at the sports grounds in Vorra, results and photos available.
