Int. Weihnachts-Crosslauf

The Int. Christmas Cross-Country Run is a cross-country race held shortly before Christmas at Ravensberger Stadium in Borgholzhausen. The event is organized by LCS Olbä and offers several distances, including 16 km, 10 km, 5 km, and a 7.5 km walking/Nordic walking course. The 16 km course consists of two laps over partly hilly terrain around Borgholzhausen, including a loop around Barenberg that is completed twice. It is a genuine cross-country challenge with climbs and descents. The start and finish sections are on paved paths, where spikes are not allowed. The race attracts a diverse field, from elite runners to recreational and older runners, as well as walkers.

The event takes place in typical December weather, with temperatures around 3 °C and frequent snowfall. Various distances are offered, including Nordic walking. Spikes are not allowed on the paved start and finish sections. The event includes several running distances as well as walking options. The course is partly hilly and runs along natural trails; the first and last metres are on paved paths. No spikes are allowed.
