Höinger Heidelauf

The Höinger Heidelauf is a traditional race held annually on the first Friday in September in Ense-Höingen. Known as the toughest 10 km race in the Soest district, the event offers courses for various runner types, including 5 km, 10 km, and half marathon. The route primarily runs over paved paths and gravel trails through the Sauerland mountains and is characterized by a challenging topography. Besides the sporting challenge, community and atmosphere are at the forefront, making the race a special experience for all participants.

Children's races start at 16:45, 5 km and half marathon at 17:30, 10 km race at 18:30. Start and finish are at the Karl-Kleine-Stadion. The event offers great catering and a strong community atmosphere. Short-term trail closures and safety concepts must be observed. The event has achieved participant records in the past despite adverse weather conditions.
