Himmelgeister Brückenlauf

The Himmelgeister Bridge Run is a traditional half marathon that has been held annually in Düsseldorf-Himmelgeist since 2004. The course runs along the Rhine almost into the heart of Düsseldorf and offers a scenic running route. The race starts early in the morning around 8 a.m. at Steinkaul in Himmelgeist and is known for its family-friendly atmosphere and the post-run party in the beer garden of Haus Krevet. In 2026, the race will take place for the last time, as the organizing team will withdraw after the anniversary.

Race bib collection on June 12 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on June 13 from 6:15 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. at the starting point. Timing is done with a chest transponder behind the race bib. Clothing can be left at the beer garden of Haus Krevet at your own risk. Post-run party with raffle and award ceremony starting around 10:30 a.m. Separate awards for the best women, men, and teams; no age group classifications. Recommended travel by bus line 835 or carpooling; parking at Aldi parking lot is prohibited. Anniversary race, start at Steinkaul in Himmelgeist, last event in 2026, participation according to DLV guidelines, no shower facilities, online results and photos.
