Race description

The Harzgeröder Cliffs Run on June 7, 2026, is a versatile folk and cross-country race in the Lower Harz, suitable for runners of all performance levels. Offered are distances from 1 km for children up to the challenging half marathon with 21.1 km and 450 meters of elevation. The races lead through the Selketal along the Selketalstieg, past the districts of Mägdesprung and Alexisbad, featuring rocky sections, narrow trail paths, and a rock tunnel. In addition to the sporting challenge, the Cliffs Run also offers fun for the whole family with a raffle and other events. The start and finish are located on the grounds of the dog training area in Harzgerode.

Additional information

Start and finish at the dog training area in Harzgerode with an organizational office and race number pickup. Safety pins are not allowed to attach the race number; race number bands are available for 5 EUR. Different starting categories include a taster run (1 km), school run (2.5 km), open run (5 km), main run (15 km), and half marathon (21.1 km). A raffle with great prizes for participants. The event is one of the major running and sports events in the region. Participants can pre-order a race shirt; registration is possible online, and running with dogs is prohibited. The event is limited to 600 participants.
