Hahnenkammlauf

The Hahnenkammlauf in Edelsfeld is an idyllic forest run that will already be in its 23rd edition in 2026. The event is open to runners of all ages, from children to experienced athletes, and offers varied routes around the sports grounds at Hahnenkamm. Due to the renovation of the sports field, the course has been adjusted. The run is part of the Amberg-Sulzbach District Cup and annually motivates around 250 participants to achieve sporting success in a natural environment.

Number bib collection from 1:30 PM at the sports clubhouse. Children's runs from 3:00 PM (400m and 600m for toddlers, 1,000m and 2,000m for school children) with subsequent award ceremony. Youth, women’s, and men’s runs start from 5:15 PM. The courses are divided according to DLO age classes and are also relevant for the district cup and municipal evaluation. Online payment of the starting fee is possible, as well as payment on the day of the event. Children's run training begins in May as preparation for the race. Routes at Hahnenkamm, online registration available, late registrations accepted until 2:00 PM on race day, bib collection at the sports clubhouse, course secured by fire brigade, free refreshments, medical support by First Responders.
