Hahnenkammlauf

The Hahnenkamm Run in Edelsfeld is an idyllic forest race, taking place for the 23rd time in 2026. The event is open to runners of all ages, from children to experienced athletes, and offers varied routes around the sports grounds at Hahnenkamm. The course has been adjusted because the sports field is being renovated. The race is part of the Amberg-Sulzbach District Cup and inspires around 250 participants each year to achieve sporting success in a natural setting.

Race-number collection from 13:30 at the sports clubhouse. Children's races start from 15:00 (400 m and 600 m Bambini, 1,000 m and 2,000 m schoolchildren), followed by the awards ceremony. Youth, women's and men's races start from 17:15. The routes are divided into DLO age categories and also count toward the District Cup and the municipal rankings. Online payment of the entry fee is available, as is payment on race day. Children's running training starts in May to prepare for the race.
