Glomb City Marathon Bremerhaven

The GLOMB City Marathon Bremerhaven is an annual marathon in Bremerhaven that has been held since 2005. In addition to the marathon, the event includes a half marathon and a 10 km race. The course is a flat loop starting and finishing in front of the Bürgermeister-Smidt Memorial Church, and runs through the city centre and Havenwelten. Runners enjoy an attractive route with many sights and a unique waterfront and harbour backdrop. The event is organised by the event agency Execute Sports Events, which ensures professional organisation.

Timing is fully electronic, using a transponder integrated into the race bib that can be disposed of after the race. Group registrations are available with a 10% team discount for groups of 10 or more (register via info@execute-sports.de). Event shirts can be ordered with a binding commitment and are handed out when race packs are collected. The course is known as the Haven-City Run and offers spectators short distances and good views of the runners. The event also includes a sports and business fair, as well as corporate and public-sector races. September weather is generally mild, around 19°C, and mostly cloudy. The course is known for being flat and is ideal for fast times.
