Frontrun - Janus Queer Games 2026

The Frontrun is an inclusive running event held as part of the Janus Queer Games 2026 in Cologne, welcoming runners of all genders. Events include a 5 km run, a 10 km run, and a 5 km partner run. The start and finish are on the Jahnwiesen beneath a large rainbow. The course is clearly marked and supported by encouraging course marshals. The event values community, diversity, and the joy of sport in an open and supportive environment.

Race bibs can be collected until 11:30 a.m.; group warm-up at 11:45 a.m. Manual timekeeping with +/- 3 seconds’ precision. Free water stations during the run; after the run, fruit and a cake buffet are available for donations benefiting Anyway e.V. There are no age-group rankings; rankings are in the female, male, and all-genders categories. The 5 km partner run is ranked in the All Gender category. Race-day registration is possible if places are available. The course is flat and runs on the Jahnwiesen. Registration is available online and on the event day, with refreshments and rankings in several categories.
