Race description
The Friesencross in Schillig is one of the most extraordinary cross-country running events in Germany and takes place on July 25, 2026. The course runs directly along the beach and offers a unique natural experience along the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site Wattenmeer. Runners cross soft sandy beaches, green meadows, and even the muddy seabed, perfectly combining athletic challenge with North Sea feeling. The event is accompanied by running sports presenter Heino Krüger, who guides the day with much experience. Parallel to the race, the Friesenfestival takes place, providing atmosphere, music, and culinary highlights.
