Race description
The Friesencross in Schillig is one of Germany’s most extraordinary cross-country running events and takes place on July 25, 2026. The course runs right along the beach and offers a unique natural experience along the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Wadden Sea. Runners cross soft sandy beaches, green meadows and even the muddy seabed, perfectly combining a sporting challenge with a North Sea atmosphere. The event is hosted by running and sports presenter Heino Krüger, who guides the day with extensive experience. The Fries festival takes place alongside the race, bringing atmosphere, music and culinary highlights.
