Freiberger Adventslauf

The Freiberg Advent Run takes place on November 28, 2026, in the festively decorated city center of Freiberg and combines athletic activity with the special atmosphere of the pre-Christmas season. The race is a regional highlight with several competitions for different age groups and distances. The event attracts many runners each year and offers a festive setting with musical accompaniment, such as the Fasstrommler band "Blechlawine" on the castle square. Registration opens in June 2026 and is highly sought after due to the participant limit of 1,000 pre-registrations.

Number bib distribution from 12:00 PM at the Rüleinsporthalle, late registrations and changes possible up to 1 hour before the start. All starts are at Café Hartmann. Start times: Bambini run at 3:00 PM, children’s 1 km run at 3:15 PM, teen run 3 km at 3:30 PM, community run 6 km at 3:45 PM, main run 12 km and relay at 4:30 PM. Participant limit of 1,000 pre-registrations.
