Silvesterlauf Nürnberg

The Silvesterlauf Nürnberg is a traditional running event held annually on December 31 around Lake Wöhrder See. Various races are offered for all age groups, from the Bambini run through the children’s and fun runs to the 10 km main race. The course is mostly flat and entirely paved, making fast times possible. The event is open to runners of all abilities and offers a festive atmosphere to round off the year.

The start and finish are in front of Café Tante Noris im Wastl on Johann-Soergel-Weg. Race packs are distributed at Sebastianspital. Nordic walking poles and jogging strollers are allowed in the fun run, but not in the main race for safety reasons. Participant limits apply: 150 for the Bambini and children’s races, and 1,300 for the fun and main races. A Silvesterlauf long-sleeved shirt can be ordered for an additional charge; children’s sizes can only be ordered until 16.11.2025. Races take place on 31.12.; registration is open until 18.12.2025. Participant numbers are limited, and race-day entries may be possible for certain races. Race number distribution is at Sebastianspital. Participation is open from certain birth years.
