Fränkische Schweiz-Marathon

The Franconian Switzerland Marathon takes place on September 6, 2026, amid the picturesque scenery of Franconian Switzerland. The course runs from Neideck to Walberla, passing idyllic villages, castles, and rock formations. The traffic-free federal highway provides ideal running conditions. Tens of thousands of spectators and a varied supporting program give the event the character of a folk festival. The anniversary edition warmly invites runners of all abilities to take part.

Helmets are compulsory for handcyclists and Run & Bike participants. The course is traffic-free and offers ideal conditions. There is a varied supporting program and many spectators along the route. The German Athletics Association (DLV) participation rules apply. The event also includes award ceremonies, partner races, accommodation, and course records. Rail and road closures will also be put in place to ensure the event runs smoothly.
