The Frankenwald Run for the Kulmbacher Brewery Prize is a relaxed running event in the beautiful Franconian Forest village of Ludwigschorgast, organised by runners for runners. Featuring a 1.5-kilometre singletrack trail as an exciting alternative to the paved section, the event welcomes both ambitious runners and recreational athletes, with a fun run and Nordic walking. Alongside sporting ambition, the focus is on having fun amid the Franconian Forest’s romantically rugged natural scenery. The overall male and female winners of the main race receive prize money, and the club with the most participants receives a financial award.

Late registration is available on the event day at the FC Ludwigschorgast sports hall from 12:30 to 13:30, for an additional fee of 5 euros. All participants receive a small gift from Kulmbacher when they hand in their race number at the finish. Tea, non-alcoholic drinks, biscuits, pretzel sticks and gummy bears are available at the finish. The race number must be worn clearly visible on the front of the body; otherwise, participants will be disqualified. There is a team competition in the main race, with non-cash prizes and a challenge trophy for the fastest men’s team. Courses in the Franconian Forest region; registration opens on 18 September; late registration at the start for a fee; refreshments at the finish; start at 9:00; awards ceremony at 11:30.
