Race description
The Fischland-Darss-Zingst Ultramarathon (FDZU) is the longest nature-experience run in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and will take place for the 10th time on June 13, 2026. The course runs through the unique Baltic Sea coastal landscape from Rostock to Stralsund and offers runners a special nature experience along the region’s peninsulas and islands. The event is steeped in tradition and has a distinctive atmosphere created by the combination of nature, challenge and community. Registration opens on July 1, 2025, and closes on May 31, 2026.

The race starts early in the morning at 04:06 amid the glow of blazing fire bowls. The course has been updated and includes location details for all aid stations. Registration is exclusively through the Tollense Timing GmbH portal. Non-cash prizes are awarded to the fastest runners on the king’s distance.
