Finnensturm

The Finnensturm is an evening race in November on a joint-friendly Finnish track at the Große Wiese Sports and Saline Park in Arnsberg-Hüsten. The 1,000-metre-long and 2.50-metre-wide track has a soft, springy surface that provides a pleasant running surface, different from asphalt or synthetic tracks. The course is lit in the evening, creating a special atmosphere for runners of all ages. The event attracts several hundred participants each year and is ideal for a November race with a great atmosphere.

The Finnish track is 2.50 m wide and runs independently of the rest of the path network. It is lit from 5:00 a.m. and in the evening until 11:00 p.m. The Große Wiese Sports and Saline Park is signposted from the Hüsten exit on the A46. The event takes place on a woodchip track at the Hüsten Sports and Saline Park; in November, weather conditions can make it wet and slippery. Refreshments and showers are available on site.
