Race description
The EWE North Sea Run is a traditional stage race across seven different East Frisian islands on the North Sea coast of Lower Saxony. It takes place from June 20 to June 27, 2026, and attracts running and walking enthusiasts from all over Germany and abroad. The individual stages lead over varied routes with maritime flair, dune landscapes, and the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Wattenmeer. The event offers a unique running experience with start and finish on the islands, including comprehensive infrastructure such as race number distribution, sports bag storage, and award ceremonies on site.

Race numbers are issued on-site on each island, e.g., at the tourist information on Norderney from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Sports bag storage is available on the islands, e.g., at the Conversationshaus on Norderney from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Showers, changing rooms, and toilets are available on the islands. The award ceremony takes place daily at 3:00 PM on the Kurplatz or similar locations. The race number includes an integrated chip for timing and is valid for all stages. There is no waiting list or backup list, and race numbers cannot be transferred. The stage race on seven islands has limited participant capacity due to infrastructure and ferry capacities; registration is full, and there is no waiting list.
