EVL-HalbMarathon Leverkusen

The EVL Half Marathon in Leverkusen is a traditional and challenging half marathon, taking place for the 24th time on June 14, 2026. The 21.1-kilometre course runs through the sports city of Leverkusen and features a special highlight: a passage through the BayArena, home ground of Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The hill-climb competition on Sauerberg presents another challenge. The race is open to runners of all ability levels, from beginners to professional runners, and offers a unique running experience with plenty of atmosphere and a sense of community.

Start and finish on Bismarckstraße, between the Ostermann-Arena and the BayArena. Runners born in 2010 or earlier are eligible for the half marathon, those born in 2016 or earlier for the 10 km race, and those born in 2018 or earlier for the 5 km race. Race bibs are non-transferable and must be worn clearly visible. There are still places available in the Bambini races. The 2026 event shirt is available. The organiser recommends a good training plan, including recovery and nutrition tips from running coach Andrea von Horn. The event takes place in all weather conditions.
