Race description
The Essen Seelauf is a traditional running event at Lake Baldeney in Essen. The 14.2 km course runs along well-marked bike paths and through the bird sanctuary, offering two refreshment stations and starting at 10:00 AM. The event is organized according to the guidelines of the German Athletics Association (Deutscher Leichtathletik-Verband) and is open to runners with and without DLV start rights. Late registrations are possible up to one hour before the start, provided the quota allows.

Additional information
Late registrations are possible up to one hour before the start, with a registration fee of 3,- € cash. Changes to registration are only accepted until September 30th via email at teamessen@gmx.de. Bib numbers must be worn visibly on the chest. Use of technical aids such as smartphones with headphones is prohibited. The course is not officially measured by the DLV, but each kilometer is marked. The 14.2 km run is not DLV measured, but features two refreshment stations at km 5 and km 9.5, manual timing, bib worn on the chest, parking at Regattaturm, as well as changing rooms and showers at Regattahaus.
