Döbraberg Dr. Heinz Laubmann Gedächtnis Lauf

The Döbraberg Dr. Heinz Laubmann Memorial Run is a traditional group run that starts in Hof and takes participants along the Webersteig to the Döbraberg, the highest point in the Franconian Forest. The event takes place in October and offers distances of 8.5 km, 14.5 km and 23 km, as well as 8.5 km walking and Nordic walking routes. The shorter adult runs are untimed, with the focus on reaching the summit together. The course is hilly and challenging, with a structured format in which pacemakers set the pace and overtaking is not allowed. The run was established in 1968 in honour of Dr. Heinz Laubmann, founder of the IfL clubs.

The event emphasises running together without a competitive element on the shorter distances. Typical October weather is expected, with temperatures of around 14 °C and mostly cloudy skies. The shorter distances are untimed group runs, starting on 18 October 2026 at 10:00. Walking and Nordic walking routes are also offered.
