Die Generalprobe

The General Rehearsal is an urban road race in Berlin, serving as the perfect preparation for the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON. On August 23, 2026, runners can test their form on a super-flat loop course through the Berlin districts of Steglitz, Wilmersdorf, and Zehlendorf. The event offers a quarter marathon, a half marathon, as well as races for children and youth. The event is characterized by a lively atmosphere and a personal medal for all finishers.

Timing is done with MIKA TAG transponder, attached to the back of the bib, which does not need to be returned. The Kids & Youth races start at 08:15 AM with distances from 200 m to 800 m; late registrations are possible on the event day. The start and finish for the main races are at Schlossstraße, Berlin-Steglitz. The participation limit is 4,000 runners. The course runs through the districts of Steglitz, Wilmersdorf, and Zehlendorf; medals for all finishers; results and certificate downloads; age group winners receive a free start for the following year.
